"My new Kala (KA-ASAC-SP-TG-C-MM) Tenor Solid Acacia, Spruce top Marcy Marxer ukulele (the name is way too long, so I'm just going to call it "mine") just arrived via our UPS guy Kevin a few minutes ago here at work.  It brought the whole office to a stand still while we had an unveiling and short demonstration.  It is a truly a beautiful ukulele and I'm looking forward to enjoying it for years. "The Lacewood Kala arrived today as scheduled, and it is indeed a beauty - excellent workmanship and quality.  It also sounds great! 

The action is just slightly higher than I am used to on the two ukes I have been playing the most - a Fluke and a pineapple Kamaka - but it is not as high as the action is on my Kamaka 6-string tenor and my Martin tenor.  The problem is probably that I have not been playing regularly for quite a while until recently, so I think I just need to build up some strength in my left hand and also develop some callouses on those chording fingers - they are sore from practicing this evening.  I think I will adapt and adjust to the higher action on the Kala just from playing it every day.  It is a great new toy, and I look forward to advancing my skills with it."

"My Kala acacia baritone arrived and it's fabulous.  The wood is great, set-up was excellent, and it has great sound.  Stringing it for a low-G ukulele tuning makes it sound rich and deep.  Intonation and sustain are outstanding.  The Grover tuners and the slot top make tuning very easy.  I've been playing for an hour and the nylon strings are holding tune well already. The larger size makes playing barre cords much easier than on my tenor.  Thanks so much for the quick response, setup, and shipping.  You were great.  I'll certainly pass on information about your business to the other ukulele players I know.  Thank again,"
